Hickory Pen Blanks

Hickory is very dense and has good shock resistance and steam-bending properties. It sands, turns, stains, and polishes well. People use it for building furniture, and it is even strong enough to be used as flooring.

Hickory will tear up your machine blades, so helical cutterheads are best for species like Hickory. If you have straight blades, be prepared to have to sharpen and/or replace them if processing more than just a little bit.

Our pen blanks are FAS grade. They have all been milled S4S to the same dimensions: 0.75"W x 0.75"T x 5"L. And they are sold in packs, so please select the quantity you want from the drop-down options.
