Hard Curly Maple Cutting Board Blanks

Curly figured Maple is typically found in the Soft Maple subspecies. After all, curly figure is caused by the swaying and compression of the true due to shaking in the wind; and the older the tree, generally the more concentrated the figure, due to age and gravity.

curly figure can be found in the Hard Maple subspecies, and that is far less common, making it more valuable, as you have the structural integrity of a much denser grain - Hard Maple - and the beautiful curly figure.

Curly Maple often has a whiter color and a more interesting grain pattern. It is an excellent wood for many woodworking projects, including musical instruments, furniture, flooring, joinery, and figured decorative veneers.

Our cutting board blanks are FAS grade, and they have all been milled S4S. Please make sure you select the appropriate sizes and quantities from the drop-down options.

If you are picking up locally, you are welcome to get as few or as many as you would like. If, however, you need your lumber shipped, our minimum order for cutting board blanks is 12 pieces. You can get 12 of a kind, or mix and match to get whatever combination you like.
